Broken Corn

Broken Corn is a food for poultry like ducks, chickens, goose, and turkeys
Its cheap and you can break it yourself
Pros: cheap and lasts long if you buy it whole and break it yourself
Cons: if you buy it precracked it wont last as long
I have a hand cranked corn cracker so I buy the corn whole and crack/break/grind it myself/ the birds love it before bed on cold nights It helps them stay warm.
Pros: Healthy, chickens love it
It's healthy and can be added to grit, and the chooks absolutely love it!
Pros: Good Price & healthy (Non-gmo)
We started the girls on the broken corn and cracked wheat at the beginning of Fall
Pros: great source of heat in the winter, not very expensive
Cons: None!
i love the corn, i give it to my birds mostly in the winter because it is a great source of heat to keep the birds warm if you don't have a coop or hen house. It's great stuff, you should get it for your birds!
Pros: Makes legs/feet more yellow for show birds
Cons: Molds if not eaten on ground, candy for chickens
Broken corn works well for my show birds that need bright yellow shanks/feet.

Chickens love this treat, but if chickens don't eat all of it up off the ground it will mold. It isn't very good for them if they eat too much.
Pros: Chickens come running.
Cons: Not very nutritious
Chickens love to peck corn off the ground. It is like candy for them. My brood comes running when they hear me shaking it in a coffee can.Can be given occasionally as a treat, but not good as their only food.
