IncuView All-In-One Automatic Egg Incubator with built-in Automatic Egg Turner

"After years of development and testing, we are excited to present you with the IncuView egg...
Pros: All my eggs hatched on the first try, all chicks appear healthy. It's nice to be able to monitor the humidity level. The one year money back guarantee is nice.
Cons: It did its job but it looks like it's been kludged together and is overpriced, in my opinion, for the quality. Plastic is very thin. Fan and wiring are exposed. Water can't be easily observed.
The plastic is very flimsy. If I were to drop it, I feel like both the top and bottom might crack.

It's impossible to see the water level in the bottom of the tray. You only know it's empty by monitoring the humidity level. Since you cannot see the water, you have to guess at how much to add. I removed a plug in the lid, inserted a straw down to the bottom of the tray to fill it.

The fan has a screen over it so chicks can't get hurt but the fan and wiring are attached to the lid and are exposed inside the incubator. It gives the impression of being kludged together.

Overall it did its job but for the quality of items used I feel it's overpriced.

Pros: the view, easy use, easy clean.
Cons: no gripes, here!
Three easy hatches in a row, no problems! We do have very low humidity, so used scotch tape to half close the little air opening, didn't want to use the 'air hole' plug that was included, just because the 'view' was ever so slightly better and I wanted a really good video for the grandkids. When it arrived, assembly was easy, no adjustments needed and temp was ready within an hour. I decided to just lift the lid to add water when needed. I had added a humidity gage, but wouldn't have needed it, as the indicator in the dome was as telling as the three humidity gages that we have around the house, as they all vary from each other. We checked the humidity twice a day and usually only needed to add, once a day. When the unit arrived, we did set it on a towel. Unit was located in living room, on tv stand, next to thermostat on the wall for our home heat. Unit gets up to correct heat within minutes of lifting lid to add water or candle eggs. Very happy with performance and clean up!

Pros: VIEWING WINDOW!!! Temp and humidity rock solid
Cons: Could use more ventilation holes, and easier way to add water.
Got my first 100% hatch out of this thing.

I did hatch quail, too, (northern bobwhite) and the turning worked fine for them.

Pros: Auto egg turner. Huge viewing window. Great temperature maintence.
Cons: The auto egg turner is mainly for chicken, duck or goose eggs. Doesnt appear to be turning quail eggs effeceintly.
Pros: Easy to see into for hatching, operates like a Brinsea with a fraction of cost, turns eggs like a mother hen, easy to clean.
Cons: Limited ventilation holes, somewhat difficult to put water in resevoirs.
I bought this incubator as my first incubator on eBay as a refurbished for $83.00, though it retails for $174.00. My first hatch was a success, with a 92% hatch rate, and after that I had a 93% hatch rate, so I was quite pleased being the novice hatcher that I was and am.

A lot of people dislike the way it turns eggs, rolling them over the bottom of the incubator, but I like it, as I think it imitates how a mother hen would turn her eggs. The incubator has options of how often to turn the eggs, and is preset with the recommended settings, I turn my eggs 6 times in a 24 hour period.

Humidity is slightly difficult to regulate, first off, you have to take all the eggs out to fill the reservoirs in the bottom of the incubator. Second, there is only one ventilation hole in the top, I do wish there was more, but I have learned to cope with it by simply propping up the lid with a toothpick.

Also, this incubator is sooo easy to clean. I put the mesh floor, turning rack and bottom of the incubator in the dishwasher and use a warm rag to wipe off the top and gently vacuum the fuzz out of the motor.

Overall, I highly recommend this incubator, and will continue to use mine, and love it!
