Ostrich Feather Duster

Is there still a heat source? It looks like there's a red light... Just wondering if the feathers are enough to insulate the chicks so the use their own body heat to stay warm or if you are using a heat lamp as a heat source. I'll have hatchlings next week and like this idea.

I’m brand spankin’ new to this hatching world. I just used the feather duster as a extra I reckon for their comfort of feeling like they have a “hen/mom” there. I figured they would thrive and be happier with it, but I DO also have a red light for heat. They are currently in my laundry room (it’s in the AC so 73-75 deg) bc on our cattle ranch that’s my safe place for these tiny little babies. These are Osceola babies though and I’m not sure if it matters with chicks, ducks... I sure hope this helps.
