Works great, easy to fill - easy to clean!
Pros: it holds lots of water, is good under a 20 day old chicks weight, and it has lots of bottom colors to choose from
Cons: you have to clean it of wood shavings if you use them.
Over all I am happy with this product and it works well for me.

Pros: Inexpensive, easy to fill and clean
Cons: Tray gets bedding in it easily.
I have this for my chicks and it works very well. Easy to fill and dispense. Real easy to keep clean.
Pros: Don't leak, cheap, effective, easy to use!
Cons: None that I know of.
I absolutely love these waterers. They work for any kind of baby birds, I have even used them with my old quail, and my bantams. Very cheap, and super easy to fill, and clean. Mine never leak, and none of mine have ever broken. I always have at least 3. I like the different designs they make for them and my chicks love them. I've had one red one since I started raising chickens on my own(3+ yrs ago) and it's still working great. I give this product A+!
Pros: small and easy to clean
i use this for my chicks that i hatch inside my house. its great to use and easy to clean. haven't had any issues with overflowing or breaking yet! Need to get a few more to keep since i have had my other ones for a long time.
Pros: Easy to clean and fill
Cons: No hanging variety
Nice and inexpensive. I rigged mine up with duct tape and wire so I could hang it. I figured out quickly that chicks are messy and like to jump up on things. By hanging this it prevented the chicks from jumping up and then pooping in the water and reduced other debris from getting into the trough.

I'd really like to see a hanging model. :D
Pros: Easy to fill and clean. *Cheep *
Cons: None that can't be overcome
Using one for 14 new chicks, They are 2 weeks old now and we have to fill it twice a day. Easy to clean by sweeping a finger around it or just swiftly tipping it over. We have ours elevated on top of a couple of bricks to minimize shaving pollution. Same with the mash food dish they seem to be addicted to. We started adding water to their crumbs and now they demand it. They have graduated from a saucer to a dinner plate and complain loudly when it's empty. We may have a problem later with them knocking the waterer over but for now it's working real well. For less than $3 you cant go wrong.

Pros: easy fill, does not leak, takes a pounding and freezing, stays put
Cons: none so far
Perfect waterer for my 14 chickens and 5 guineas. I have it on top of a coffee container that is filled with sand and it stays put. I have two of them and I switch them out once a day and fill once a day. My flock is 3 months old and I can see using this for months to come.
Pros: Small enough for day-old chicks to reach in and get water, cheap, easy to fill
Cons: Not a long term solution, Easily knocked over by birds a month old, small which means more refilling (many times a day for month-olds birds), clogs
I got this when my chicks started hatching out of the incubator. I moved them to a box with this item for water and a feed tray from TSC. The main reason these were selected was because they were cheap.

After a few days, my chicks started to move more, and they loved playing around with the bedding (newspaper shreddings, bad idea but all I had). This quickly led to the waterer getting filled up and clogged. This isn't the waterer's fault, but with many beddings, not just newspaper, the chicks throw it into the feeder or waterer. So be aware that you may have to clean it out.

This container seems to be specifically designed with the baby chicks in mind, because of the height of the sides (red part). They are short so the little guys can reach the water.

As the weeks went on and the birds grew, it worked great. I simply ran my finger along the bottom when I was refilling it, and the newspaper came out. It was all good for 3 weeks or so.

By a month old, my chicks were very capable of barreling into it and flipping it over. Even when full, it simply does not have the weight to stay upright. Time to change to a bigger one

In all honesty, its a $5 waterer made for young chicks. It isn't magic and it won't have you going "Oh that's so cool. I'm so glad I bought it" It just simply serves it's purpose. If you are getting young chicks or mabye a few small quail go buy one. If they are older or even bantam chickens, step up to a bigger size.

Other Thoughts:

With 19 Buff Orp chicks, I had to refill often. I should have gotten 2.

Due to the design, when you screw on the bottom and flip it over, it will look like you didn't fill it all the way. There will be an inch or two of air in the top. That's just how it's designed.

At TSC you buy this in 2 seperate pieces I think. You can also get a metal base instead of the red plastic (see picture). I do not think that it was that much better, but it may help with the weight and tipping over, especially if you use a glass mason jar instead.
Pros: Awesome with chicks up to "teenager"
Cons: Not a way to hang without something to modify it.

This is a good waterer, but only good for about a month. When the chicks get older they knock it over.
Pros: Have used these waterers for years with chicks. Good with broodies too.
Cons: Not so good with older chickens as it tends to get knocked over, but chicks and broodies do fine with it in my experience. But I ignore that because it's meant for chicks, not adults.
If you use these, you can replace the plastic with a glass jar of you want, but glass jars are heard to clean and algee grows on glass.

With chicks only a couple days old, especially bantams, I put marbles in their water to prevent drowning.

Pros: Easy to whip up medicated water
Cons: spills easy
I like these quail sized waterers for singleton care, or for spot waterers for my hatchlings. Easy to put out some in a few spots with the small foot print.

Good design
Pros: never had a problem with it falling on chicks
Cons: tends to get clogged with pineshavings
I use this every time I have chicks. The design makes it easy to put rocks in it so that the chicks don't drown. It's better than using a dish-like design because there is less room for the chicks to fall in and/or drown. Chicks will poop in it, that will probably happen with all waterers and feeders, kinda inevitable.
These are great for quail or baby chicks!

Pros: Easy to refill, nice size for small broods of chicks, durable
Cons: Sometimes leaks if not level
I've used this waterer for all of my chicks. It has worked well every time, for the most part. Chicks have an easy time drinking out of it, and the base isn't too deep, so they don't drown easily (I've never had one drown). It works especially well if put up on a block of wood so that wood shavings can't be scratched in too easily. My waterers are durable, and have not broken or cracked. These waterers are really easy to clean; you simply unscrew the base, and you can easily clean it. Every once in a while, it can leak and drain all of the water out, creating wet bedding. However, this has not happened to me often, and overall, this is a good waterer for chicks.
Pros: Inexpensive, easy to clean, durable
Cons: Can be prone to spilling, gets dirty easily
This is the waterer that I use when raising chicks. In the three years that I've had the waterers (I have two of them), they've never cracked or faded much in color. The design of the waterer is such that cleaning is simple--just use a paper towel to wipe of the base and quart jar, and you're done. The red base ensures that chicks are attracted to the water, which helps them get used to drinking. Also, its nicely sized, supplying enough water for 1-2 days for about a dozen chicks. Of course, if it gets dirty, as is common, I end up replacing the water sooner.

The ease at which the waterer gets dirty is the main drawback of this waterer. It works great for the few 3 weeks or so, but older chicks soon start stuff it with wood shavings and feed. This can be slightly remedied by placing the waterer on a block of wood, but even that doesn't completely solve the problem. I usually end up changing the water 1-2 times a day when the chicks are older. Another, related problem pertains to the waterer leaking: If stuffed somewhat with shavings, or tipped at an angle, the water in the waterer sometimes gradually leaks out. This floods the bedding, creating a damp environment for the chicks, which isn't good. However, by the time the waterer is being pushed around, that usually means that it is time to switch to a larger adult chicken waterer.
