My youngest ones are growing so fast! At least 3 of the 5 somehow were from Atlas, and one looks just like him. Obviously he's one of the males. I have my mystery male in with my NNs now, and I'm debating either trying to keep a male in with the group or seperate with my other males so I can...
Here's 4 out of the 5 I have (22 days old). Including the black one I didn't picture, I have what looks like 3 Nns and 2 NNs.
Thoughts on these 4 genderwise? Only one is actually red in the wattle area, but the brown head one has a larger comb.
Yeah, but I'm getting pretty good at telling, and when the others have combs barely over their fluff and thisnpne can be seen across the room, it's not looking good for him
My little are growing and I'm hoping to maybe grab pics today of everyone. Im bummed though, one me and my mom like already has a big comb for 3 weeks 😔
Oh the second picture looks lik my mystery cockerel Big Boy. I'll have to get a picture of him to show off. He's going in my NN pen when I move the stand in male out, try to get some size on these birds
6 eggs in the incubator and hopefully one that has hatched under a mama hen. /Hoping/ one at least is NN or that the three I know are from my calico princess give me at least one with a naked neck.
I've got plenty that go broody reliably, I was just curious about NNs. Some people say they're not broody at all and some say that they're pretty reliable to go broody
Anyone have good luck getting NNs to go broody? They're building a clutch (yes, I'm the type who leaves eggs until they sit or get thrown out) but so far not too interested. I'm getting conflicting info on if they're likely to brood, but mine are hatchery stock anyways
Gah, my NNEEs turned out to be a scam. Glad it was only 5 bucks 😡.
I have a pheonix in with my girls now, gonna switch to my Asian black male soon until I get a male I like. Got 6 eggs in the incubator (and 32 quail eggs) that may be from Atlas or the pheonix. Maybe I'll get some pretty ones...
