Thank you!! As of now she is still laying eggs to add to her clutch. I wish she would just stop laying and hatch out some babies from the 20 eggs she has in the nest now.. -

My goose is doing the same thing. She, and her mate, are 3 years old. The man I bought them from last summer said that he got 8 goslings from them that spring. As of today, my goose has layed 22 eggs. The first three froze and busted, so she has 19 in her nest. I hope we get our answer! -

My pair is 3 years old. That is why I'm so confused as to why the goose isn't setting yet... -

My pair of embdens have a nest of 18 eggs. The first three froze and busted. So she has layed 21 eggs. She still hasnt started sitting. Did i get unlucky and end up with a goose that wont hatch her eggs? I just figured that she would have started incubating them already.. -
Starting Over? Who's Done It?
So, I am thinking about selling my entire flock and starting over with one breed. Well, I might keep one or two of my favorites.. Anyway, how many of you have done this? How did it work out for you? Any pros and/or cons? I would like to switch to a breed that lays a lot of large eggs, is cold...- mahsmaj

More pictures!!! They are getting fluffy! There are now 9 ducklings out of their eggs. That leaves 2 left. The egg that I thought had no signs of hatching, started hatching about an hour ago!!So maybe, and hopefully, all 11 will hatch! I am too excited!!! -
