    Thank you!! Im not too concerned, she just has a lovely personality. Our wyandotte was such a scaredy cat but was becoming more confident. I was devastated to lose her, she was so beautiful. Other than her we've only has isa browns so i dont know much about other breeds.

    Phew!! I was scared "she" may be a rooster we have never had such a young chick before. She is very friendly, confident and curious so i was a bit worried. Im in love already. Sadly our shy but lovely, 1.5yr old wyandotte passed away suddenly . We only have one other chicken (suburbia rules)...

    Glad she is ok, antibacterial spray should do the trick . If the wound doesn't get infected she will be fine. My chicken had a big scab for a while but all the skin grew back. I seriously didn't believe it would.. or could, it was totally open hole with neck exposed, like 3 inches long 2 inches...
