Looking for pics of Blue Laced Barnevelders

I know how the B/B/S genetics work and I’ve seen photos of splash Barnevelders but I’m working towards the SOP for my standards so splash is something I avoid! Do you have photos?

    Blue Laced Barnevelder vs. Wyandotte

I breed Barnevelders standard and first year using a Blue rooster! I’ve had so many breeds over the years and my Barnies are my favorite! Never had a mean rooster from them and my hens are super sweet and run up to me.

I have 3 broody hens in nesting boxes that I had marked eggs under. One egg had just hatched under one and she had 2 other under her. Next day no sign of chick anywhere and another egg is gone too. IM having other eggs disappearing too in the past week. No sign of a predator no hurt chickens no...

    Help…Need Brooder Divider ideas

What do you use for heat source? I’ve always used lamps and I think I’m going to take @aart advice and use the 75w reptile bulbs and place right on the top of the hardware cloth lid. I thought about switching to heat plates but it’s going to more of an expense and I hate how dirty the will get...

    Help…Need Brooder Divider ideas

I should have added that it is not complete! We still have to add lid, divider, and still deciding if I’m going to wrap the bottom 1’ in wood pannel. It’s going to be inside my chicken “barn” so no drafts. I also don’t do chicks in the winter only spring and summer.

It’s ~6x3 and I want the option to separate in case I have chicks different age groups in there for a bit. I’m going to start selling at our local swap and so I’ll be hatching every couple weeks and don’t want chicks that are a day or few old in with 2 week olds. Chicks that I’m keeping will be...

Reasons for picking wood vs wire?! Any recommendations on which and why? At first I was thinking using a heat lamp wire would be easier but I think in my barn I can easily mount it to be in the middle

Can I leave in cooler?! Butchered extra roosters for the first time!

Finally after raising chickens for 6 years now we processed 4 of extra roosters for the first time. They were smaller, mixed breeds around 6months but I wanted to make use out of them. We ended up cutting the spine out and spatchcock (is that the right way to say that?!) since they were small...
