    Overly Friendly Chicken?

Friendly chickens are the best. We had a few very friendly chickens in our flock and we somehow trained them without having any idea we were doing so. Our entire flock is well trained(though sometimes rebellious) and usually follow commands(but sometimes try to get away with mischief). You are...

    new hatchling dying? Help please

Hint: Before assisting a chick that is hatching, allow them to get their beak out of the shell(called pipping) for approximately 24 hours before intervention. Also, lowering the temperature 1-2° when humidity is 60-65 can help. Think of it this way, how would you be breathing during a midsummer...

Are any of these breeds incompatible in a mixed flock?

As for the breeds you mentioned, a YouTuber I follow(OmarGoshTV) had some and had no problems with them in a mixed flock. Personally, I have found that any animals that are raised together tend to get along fairly well. And as for your fence, I would suggest 6-8 feet in height(6' if clipped). As...

Currently own 20 Rhode Island Red's, but they are only a month old at the time I joined. Soon to have another 20 chicks(different breed) & 6 turkeys.
