I've been a bit distracted to be on BYC lately but I just had to share this story with my chook friends who I know will appreciate it.
I have been training Edwina to jump on to the garden bench on command. Well, I have just discovered that training goes both ways.

Oh yes, it's freezing in the dead of winter but has it's own beauty then too.
I took tons of photos of trees and mushrooms and moss. It's a breathtaking area in both large views and small.

As to the holiday...it was good up to a point. Got to see some beautiful forests, a stunning cave, historical sites, museums and antique stores but hubby came down with Covid in the second week so we had to isolate for 7 days. He was pretty miserable but not too seriously affected...

My girls seem to be managing the wet weather so far so we have been lucky. :fl
We have just had major leaks in the roof and will have to get the builders in to fix it and replace the ceiling and carpet but no other damage as far as I know.
