    Wobbly chick

Well after reading this I’m think it’s not slipped tendon either. I didn’t pop back into place. I just kind of straightened her legs and braced the hock

    Wobbly chick

Thanks. I have her hocks braced but she’s being a pain about being still in a cup or box. It definitely wasn’t as easy to feel as others said so I’m not entirely sure. It just doesn’t seem like splay leg to me. I’ll try the vitamins. I did give her a little more of the poultry cell than I have...

    Wobbly chick

I’m actually wondering now if it’s more of slipped tendon than splay leg.

    Wobbly chick

She’s on puppy pads and has been from the beginning. I had a few shavings in there to start. It’s just weird that she seemed ok to start with.

The poultry cell has all of this in it. That was my concern. Everything I read said it usually only take a day or two and it’s been since Wednesday that it was the worst and I splinted her. I wasn’t sure if there were other things to try. I hate to give up on her without knowing for sure.

    Wobbly chick

Thank you. I’ll see if I can try something different tomorrow. It hard to figure out a sling and keep her warm under the brooder

    Wobbly chick

I put her in a sock and in a mason jar so she could just kind of hang out without the pressure. She seems to be ok other than this issue

    Wobbly chick

I got this girl last Thursday. Monday I noticed her not standing or balancing normal. By Wednesday it had gotten pretty bad to where she wasn’t standing much. She’s had vitamins, electrolyte water and been braced with a hairtie and straw(splay leg assumption) since then. I don’t see any...

    Vent gleet/infection.

Definite signs of infection but the vet didn’t really feel like she had anything stuck in her right now. She gave antibiotics and anti inflammatory meds. So far, she has been good since then. I don’t think she’s laid an egg since but she may be broken now lol Thanks for checking!!

    Vent gleet/infection.

Thanks. It was alarming because last night it felt completely normal, so I wasn’t expecting that. I Was just hoping it wasn’t yeast as I did give her more antibiotics. Poor girl has been through it so I hope she pulls through.

    Vent gleet/infection.

It may be some. She seems uncomfortable when I pick her up. She seemed better this morning, pooped a good bit last night and ate good this morning. Just went to give her shot and her crop is not normal. It’s a little hard. I massaged a little. She pooped out some clear liquid with a little...

    Vent gleet/infection.

I did press into it. Definitely lash. It smelled so bad. I started her on the Oxy but have seen mixed things about dosage. I’m not sure how to tell now when she’s better or not
