    Black Australorp laying white eggs

Thank you for that information. My 4 girls aren't very consistent yet in their laying. Sometimes I only get 1 egg, sometimes 3. Yesterday I got 2 brown eggs. Today I got 3 brown eggs. So far no more light colored eggs. But I'm happy for any color eggs as long as my girls are healthy and happy. :)

    Black Australorp laying white eggs

Hi my lady is a new layer. She just started 2 weeks ago. Her last 2 eggs have been white. Is this a problem? The shells are solid and the shape is normal. Could she be needing a supplement? I have had her on layer feed over a month now. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Spots on waddles and crests

3 of my girls are now looking better. The white spots have turned black and are now disappearing. The 4th has always been the smallest and just now she's looking like she's got it even worse than the other did. Is that how the progression of fowl pocks goes? Ive been putting electrolytes in...

Great. Thanks for that tip. Would one of the red brooder lights work for that or would it need to be a different type of light?

    FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Hi I'm in Hialeah! I'm a first time chicken mom of 4 black Australorps. I hope this isn't a dumb question but I cant seem to find the answer to this: Do chickens molt this far south in Florida? I've read that molting is dependent on the amount of daylight. But in south Florida we don't really...
