I thought I would check in on all the hatch-a-long-ers, I am reading what you have going on. My birds are doing well. I have some older birds combined. I rehomed 3 females. My boy chicks I hatched are so friendly even though i don't spend much time with them. 3 weeks old.

Looks like the next gray egg will also be a yellow splash, (#5) I am waiting for her to kick off the shell.
The other 2, one pipped but died in egg, (looked like a yellow chick.) and one quit before pipping.
5 will be this hatch.

of the 3 left...2 pips and one not doing anything. The last 3 were either store fridge eggs, or just the tail end of the fertile eggs since the rooster was put down.
This is my last hatch with that rooster, I am so glad I have the little splash, she is getting more splashy, here is her mom.
I like how splashes are l like dalmations and how the spots keep coming, but they are born white. or in her case yellow.
I could hear more chicks hatching last night. 3 are out. so far. I have a surprise blonde chick, out of a blue egg. I see as splash on her head too.

The NN egg hatched first, day 20 still , the chick doesn't look to be NN though. The dark egg upper left hand corner is starting to zip. Some of the gray eggs are from my hens. there may be some from a grocery store fridge eggs from a near by farm I don't recall which but fridge eggs will take...
This is actually a fish string-er. I got the idea from a lady in ID who sells eggs, it keeps the chicks from playing soccer ball with the eggs.
These are on day 19, (maybe 18) no action yet.
I put my eggs in lockdown day 17. Down to 7 with this batch. I had to pull one of the store eggs. I think I have 2 store ones left. 5 from my hen's eggs.
