South Jersey, huh? Hmmm... Boyfriend lives in Brooklyn... Can have him smuggle something across the border when he comes visit, lol!
How do you keep a chicken quiet, though?
As March closes and April crawls slowly/quickly closer, I just wanted to say congratulations to everyone, and welcome to the world to all the little hatchlings!
I lost two, but have 13 healthy peepers left. April is going to be much more insane, lol!
It's been three weeks since they hatched. Here's some updated pics of them!
As you can see, got a nice variety of colours so far.
Obligatory fluffy butt shot!
Chick on the left has feathers coming in at all angles. Is that frizzle?
Love the pattern on this one! Hopefully, it keeps...
Okay, silly question (sort of) and probably shouldn't even be here (but it concerns my recent hatch), but if the hen is sex-link (black or red) but the roo isn't, will that still mean the chicks can be sex-linked?
Just looked at the description, and they need to hatch on the 8th of April, the day BEFORE Easter. So, set time for chickens is the 18th Mar. The eggs will be fairly fresh. Maybe I'll wait a bit on them, and just set the bantams early, since I know she's been holding those eggs.
