So, after researching the woman that has the birds I've come to another option. She's a big time breeder and more credentials(?) are adding up for her. So maybe sometime in the future I'll buy birds from her.
Found all the info on the her farm Random Rosecombs. Show records back to 1990s. When...
I have decided on not getting the birds.
I have also not had a reply from the other breeder.
It's going to be the hard way for me on this varietie of Rosecomb.
Im doing that to get silver Ameraucana. Thinking of doing that for the silkies my friends daughter wants. There's a breeder right out side San Antonio that has the colors I told her I would alow. Buff and blue or buff and lavender. They look good together.
Yeah, I don't think I'm going through with it. That NPIP thing scares me a bit. They are in CA or OR so no chance of going there to see. I really think Ill stick with what I've been doing and ordering from places that are NPIP for hatching eggs or ordering chicks from Cackle. If there is a color...
Rosecomb breeders seam to be hard to find especially in colors other than black and blue.
That being said there's one listed in Lyons TX for the brassy back blues on the Rosecomb federation site. I'm going to email them to see if they sell. Only other options I'm gona have is spending years...
I think there is someone in Texas that works with this color of rosecombs. I'll email them about hatching eggs first.
But I think I'm going to wait on this one and let it pass.
They would be brassy back blue rosecombs. Four of them. One brassy back blue cockerel, one brassy back splash cockerel, one brassy back pullet, and one brassy back blue pullet.
$100 for each bird and $145 for shipping.
She's not NPIP tho. They are show birds.
