Some time spent on the porch with pullets taking time out from their busy day to sit and sing to me in my lap.

A pullet I rescued from a pack of roosters has taken a liking to sitting on my shoulder and walking around the farm with me. She sings some sweet nothings in my ear today making me happy.

Then I need to bait for 4 months or maybe just ignore them eating my corn that the chickens failed to eat.... :)

I need to trap some here and pour some corn to one for 3-4 months.... I'm just far enough outside the city limits to take care of business as needed.

I got to sit on the porch with a young pullet perched on my shoulder singing to me as the sun went down. It was like icing on a good cake.

I'm just glad that the Delaware pullet that flew up onto my shoulder and tried to eat my hearing aid failed. :eek:

Wish mine were. Some have been in pots so long that they have little clusters of Muscadines on them now.

Both of the roosters I had to put in my chicken clinic are doing quite well today after not looking like they could survive yesterday. They and my pet scissor beak pullet are keeping each other company without any squabbling.

The weather is perfect today for me and my chickens that are out playing in the grass and sandy places they dig in.
