I got my first occupants of the brooder today!!! A gold sex link and a black sex link!!! 15 more assorted fowl coming next week!

HAHA, I have easter eggers and a few other varieties, along with ducklings, goslings, and guinea fowl coming April 13th!!!! This is my first time raising birds, so super excited!!!!!

You could try keeping it up on top of a wood block, or elevated in some way..... As long as the chicks could jump on top to reach it.... Just a suggestion

Here is my just made brooder, 20 ft of 1/2 in. hardware cloth, around 75 zip-ties, and 8 carabiner clips to hold the door shut. It may not look pretty but I needed something that would drain, because I am getting waterfowl and they are messy with their water.

I use a large cardboard box!! Cheap and disposable!!!
