Good luck with the hatching! We're still having -30°c and lots of snow. Last year was very dry so we are thankful for the moisture it will bring. My Marans are in the big barn and have been laying for about a month. So far their eggs are not fertile. Hopefully that will change...
He has really nice colouring, If you hold the camera at the eye level of the subject you will get a better pic... lots of running around bent over at times. He looks like he's posing for you.
And another completely unrelated question that my son keeps asking me: how many generations does it take to make a purebred? I have no idea how to answer that....
Beautiful sky there!!
Our sky has been hazy this past week from fires that are hours from here, can't help but wonder if people are ok... hopefully we will get enough rain to stop them sooner rather than later. It's been very dry.
What are those boxes with the pointy roofs?
This is my silver salmon rooster, he's 5 years old. My Dog got his tail and this is how it looks now. The white chicken is his offspring from last year with a skinny factory leghorn. In the last picture his tail is undamaged.
There's a guy not too far from here with nice wheaten, he wouldn't sell me any because he was still working on improving the flock. I could also try and get a cock from him if you think i need one.
And we just had our last frost of the season and are looking forwards to summer!!
We will be waiting for the pictures and may you make the best of decisions for your breeders.
