I do. Forgot the lemon juice, its been too long since I last made it.
Also, cooking reduces the concerns associated with "excess" garlic consumption, just as it does with onions.
There is never enough garlic.
Did you know that with a lot of effort, and the right tools, you can turn garlic, oil, salt and pepper into a creamy spread? "Death by Garlic" - its used like mayo.
I have a bunch of these (admittedly, far fewer), but a bunch in a 2' x 3' sectioon of one of my raised beds. Keep them a bit mor thinned. Want to say I have seven?? plants. And yes, we use them as green onion in a bunch of dishes. Have had less luck replanting the topsets.
That is so kind of you to think of me. How about you stay safe, instead! We'll be thinking of you, and hoping the TorCon2 warning greatly overestimates the chances of formation, for you and all your neighbors
I am also blessed to be in far better health than I have any right to be, though I can't pretend age hasn't had an effect on my resting heart rate and BP. I fear a complete blood panel at this point.
;) Neither am I.
Actually, the soil packs down over time, becomes VERY dense - its my clays - then things rot. I should try 5 gal bucket garlic gardening.
Appreciate the offer. Tempting as it sounds, I have too many other incomplete projects right now, and its the wrong time of year to plant, well, ANYTHING, here. We'll see where things stnad next spring.
I'll keep trying. I do get lots of garlic scapes and scallions, just never a full bulb. Need to keep working on my soils, and my patience. But most of what I do get is from supermarket sprouts, so I can't complain about the price.
