Help I need your help !!! I had a duckling hatch 2 days early it still has a marble size yolk sac attached and is still attached to shell...duckling is starting to wake up. Will it be able to absorb that yolk sac? Do you know how long? I am worried it looks healthy.
TIA!!
Anna
the other two chicks turned out fine...
but i will say shipped eggs are the worst for viability
so i ended up w a mille fluer and a polish banty and the other one i am having trouble with is a mille fleur
okay i posted about some Monday hatchings...one of them just wont open eyes and get up...i dunno what is wrong...it is alive breathing kicks a little..tried dipping beak for electrolytes but acted as if i choked it...these are banty's...should i just cull?? or wait another 24 hours?
The oldest hatched at 9pm CST last night and seems to be getting her feet but then she falls. The others were born at 5am and the polish is hobbling about a lil damp and the MF is still curles up but does attempt to stand he's still on the wetter side
I had 2 Mille Fleurs born last night and this morning...the one last night is having problems standing and lays on her side and the other is trying to get up but not finding her feet. I had a polish born this am and he is already up and about??
My Mille Fleurs have a high fertility rate...my Polish Banty's are another story....out of 12 only 3 veined...sigh...then the new incubator decided to act up. So they are sending me a new top.
Just kinda bummed
I sitting here watching week old chicks jumping up and down as a next door gosling sticks his head over the bin top....it is so cute to watch! Gosling is like a big dragon (sweet of course) and a brave lil chickie trying to jump up there to confront him!!
I set my D'Uccles and Bantam Polish...
I ordered a new InkuView incubator...and paid bucks for fast shipping...I like it because you can dee what is going on with the clear view top...only draw back will only can hatch 27 at a time...oh well...
