My chicks are getting SO Big!

I hadn't had them either until this year. The ones I make in pickle juice taste like deviled eggs! And I love the ones I make in the pickled beets brine.

Be sure to extend the hardware cloth on the ground about 18" or so, a dig-proof apron. Here's mine during construction. I used landscaping staples to pin it to the ground. The grass has grown through, you can't see it anymore.

Martha hatched out the remaining two eggs, three days after the first hatch. Good girl!

And another makes three! After eating veggies and crumbles Martha went back to the nest box where two more eggs are close to hatching. And the chicks followed her!
