Most doubles only make it to day 10.
I had a triple one time. 2 were fertile, one was not. One of the 2 remaining yolks only made it to day 10. The last yolk made it to day 17 which was amazing.
I have my chicks (2) in a cubboard inside a storage unit I have on my property. It is warm here 86 during the day. I have a 40 W bulb on them, they can go under the bulb if cold, or move away if hot. I have more chicks coming tomorrow.
Of my six, only 2 hatched. They had a rough egg-hood though. First they were in a store fridge, then with a momma hen who crushed or ate 2 eggs, then when they got moved into incubator, some didn't even make it that far. Don't feel bad though, they have friends from meyer's on the way, (tomorrow?)
