I was just talking to a guy here in Alabama that sells Eastern Wild Turkeys (he is NPIP Certified and Licensed) and he told me that during his annual inspection from the game warden he was told that he had to get rid of his Eastern Wilds becasue the laws have changed. No one can have them and they are not issuing a license/permit toanyone anymore and gave him 3 months to get rid of his EW. He butchered them and stuck them in the freezer. He said that they are going to start giving out $5,000.00 fines to anyone caught with them. They are having a problem with people breeding them with other heritage turkeys and releasing them into the wild. I'm glad I don't have any anymore!
