What to Feed, What to Feed...

That food has ethoxyquin in it. It also lists "animal fat" but doesn't say what kind of animal. Not for me =(
Are talking about the feed I posted?

If so, Its either for Fish or Porcine (pork) or could be a combination of both. I wish they sill used Bovine meat and fat in poultry feed.

As for the Ethoxyquin, it doesn't bother me any it the same stuff they use to preserve seasoning and other foods.

Chris, I can't find the label for the honors show broiler. Do you have a copy of that? Why are you feeding turkey versus broiler? Is it because its the same price for less protein? Because you are mixing it?

Yes I was talking about that one. It should be listed on the ingredient list..whatever it is.
I personally do not purchase any foods for myself or my animals with BHT BHA or Ethoxyquin in it. Horrid stuff. Just because it's used in human food..doesn't mean it is safe.

I don't have Honor Show Broiler tag, might be able to get a tag the next time I'm at the one mill where I get some of my feed.
I know that the Show Broiler is a high fat feed at 4.50% and is 22.5% or 26% protein an the main reason I don't use it but if I was raising a meat breed I would try it.
I know Purina recommends feeding Broilers there Honor Turkey Starter for the first 2 days of life then mix 50/50 with Honer Broiler on day 3 then 25/75 on day 4 then 100% Honer Broiler on day 5.
