black astralorp

Here goes the early hatching of the new baby chicks from the incubator. Sussex chicks red white, Rhode Island red, Black Australorp and Blue Lace Wyandotte. Some of the mother's are still laying on her eggs does wont hatch in a while.

I have a black astralorp that started laying about a month ago. Her size compared to her friends is a bit smaller. About 2 months ago, she started making coughing or sneezing noises (sounds like a loud 'bok'). Recently, she started swinging her head from side to side and makes weird movements...

The chicken is around 3 months old. I got it when it was about one week old in October. I think it's either a black astralorp or black orprington. I'm not sure tho. Here are some pictures of it. Also, it was both black and white when it was a chick but when it grew older, the white dissapeared.

She has yellow on the bottom of her black feet, white nails. I know the chicks came from Meyer Hatchery. These are the only black options from Meyer I could think she could be. Any input would help towards solving my mystery. Thank you!

I received 3 chicks, to a day ago and one three days ago. As I didnt buy them directly I'm not quite sure their ages or breeds. Wasnt exactly a planned chickenhood. The first one is the one I got 3 days ago and the other are only from a day. Any help is appreciated!!!

I will be trying my hand at breeding blue andalusian rooster over my black astralorp hens , but to my understanding black is the dominant gene so i was wondering would it take me two or three generations for the blue to start showing in these hybrids, thanks
