Hello BYC Fam! :woot:frow
Anyone have pics of their Blue or Splash jersey giant roosters? I have a pair I got from the hatchery. They are supposed to both be blue, but I am thinking my male must be splash, because he is a much lighter blue color than the female (who is a very dark, almost black...
Hi! I got these 2 ladies a few days ago and were told they were a very light silver partridge. Could they possibly be Splash? They are quite unique and gorgeous whatever color they are!
This is my actual silver partridge. Sasha
Hello all, went to check the birds this morning and my poor little serama slowly walked up to me this morning. She looked cold and pathetic. Shivering. Over all lethargic. She feels a bit lighter than normal. Her comb and wattles are red still. I brought her inside to warm up on the heating...
I just hatched 7 Silkie chicks that were listed as assorted colors. All of them are black or white except two. One is either a splash or a paint (not sure how to tell) and the other I have no idea. Does anyone know what color they'll be I'm? I'm pretty new to silkies so any additional...

I got this EE and I’m desperately trying to figure out if it’s a roo or hen! I can only have hens in my HOA. I know it’s still probably early, but maybe some of you experienced chicken owners can provide some insight into what I should be looking for?
The comb got bright orange/red pretty...
Hello , I keep cochin bantams as a hobby and occasionally make a few dollars to pay for chick n coop repairs ,food etc.
I usually just breed color to color but I found myself in a BBS situation. Problem is I have a grizzled black rooster and I don’t know the optimal place for all of my birds...
Hello! These 5 little cluck muffins hatched yesterday from fertile eggs posted interstate. The breeder advised they were from a bearded silkie pen with colours of porcelain, blue, splash, black and grey. They are so sweet. Any ideas of colours?
These two have me stumped. They’re very similar and I can’t figure out if they’re both cockerels or not....I realize I can wait a few weeks but like guessing...and planning. They’re 11 weeks old.
I’ll post pics of #1 and #2. I always thought #2 was more girly with a Single row pea comb but now...
Anybody out there? Midwesterners, where you at?!
I'm no stranger to farming, but sort of a newbie to chickens. I did not realize that my husband's all-time favorite animal is a chicken. Scratch that. ALL chickens. We've been married 10 years and this was brand new information in spring 2019...
