Poor Tippy can’t catch a break.. first a rat chewed her foot as a baby so she is missing a couple toes, and now she has a bumble on that same foot.

My question is: Is this thing actually healing...
Hello all, one of our chickens was bit on the tail end by a dog. The bite/attack was not witnessed, there could be other injuries but I have not seen anything other than the bite. The last time we needed a vet for a chicken there wasn't one that would see chickens, so I'm hoping someone on here...
Hello everyone! Me and my husband have owned chickens for two years now with no injuries or illnesses until today. I found my RIR hen missing feathers and plucked pretty severally/ bleeding from being plucked. We have no idea what the initial injury could have been as no predators were in the...
My hen was just attacked by a hawk. She has a large gash in her back. I’ve sprayed the area with vetericyn plus. What else can I do? Any more advice on cleaning the wound?
This is my first time dealing with an attack. Thank you!!
i wanted to isolate her but my mom put her back in the coop with everybody, she is her usual talkative self and I’m not sure if it’s healing or if it has become infected as I suspect her to have dust bathed in their coop which could’ve gotten into the wound
(Sorry couldn’t get better picture...
hi all!
A while back we discovered a tiny scab on the neck of my chicken. We treated it with aluspray but she kept scratching at it. Now it looks like this. Her neck and face is all swollen and she keeps scratching. We put bandages on it and that seemed to help a little bit. We decided to air...
TLDR: Neighbours dog attacked main hen, open wounds, very weak leg. Medical question: what can I put on the cuts? I have Dermadine on hand, is that safe?
Hi everyone.
With a heavy heart I come asking for advice post-dog attack. Neighbours dog got into our yard and killed one of our hens and...
Hi!
I have a 2 year old Lav Orp, Flip, who is my most favorite girl. We recently rehomed our roo, because he was a little too rough with the girls. Even with saddles. Ratio was 1:12.
The other girls are in various states of recovery from his “love.”
When holding flip the other day, u...
Hey, so basically my cockerel got into a fight with the big rooster and he's sustained quite a few injuries, any recommendations on how best to treat him?
he's been really low energy.

Hi all!
3 weeks ago, I found my 1yr old hen a couple deep wounds on the top of her back and side. I think it's from our rooster. I cleaned the wound, sprayed Vetericyn and BluKote quite a bit. She's been doing well the past weeks, eating and drinking normally.
The wound on her side has...
I was cleaning out the coop this morning and noticed one of my ducks sitting in the corner (the rest were all outside). I picked her up and the skin on her back and all of her feathers was gone. Her sibling (another buff) had the same. Picture is below, warning to those who are squeamish.
My...
Please help! 😭 I have a 10-11 week old cinnamon queen pullet who ended up with a big open wound on the side of her neck yesterday. I’ve given her povidone iodine twice a day but I’m not sure if that’s enough. Anyone have any idea what could have caused this?
We have a pekin with a swollen foot, it's got a low-grade infection (I know because it's hot). There's a swollen red blister on the right hand side and the middle toe is doubled in size. She is limping and has been limping for a few weeks now. I have tried washing her and doing some general...
Hello! I have an almost 1 year old Polish/ frizzle hen that has a hole (?) on her back. It is almost entirely tucked under her wing. I noticed a naked spot on her back a couple of weeks ago. I sprayed her with Blue Kote (you can see the remnants of that). Today, I noticed that it was much...
I had this issue a while back and my bird made it through, he's now a healthy pet who will never go to freezer camp. Thought I'd share and help others in this emergency.
Unbeknownst to me my juvenile turkeys were roosting on the edge of their water bucket because it was slightly higher than...
My big boy Remus was attacked by a dog(some sort of husky) this morning....it was horrible, all caught on my ring camera. My daughter and I went out into the woods following the feathers and by some miracle heard him out there clucking...we kept hollering for him and now he's in the yard kind...

I had a hen get the back of her necked ripped off yesterday, about 2" long and an inch wide. Sounds severe, but this is the fourth time I've dealth with this. I have absolutely no idea why they feel the need to scalp each...
We're in the process of integrating 4, 9 week old pullets into our flock of 5, 8 month olds. After a few weeks of them getting to know each other we finally let them interact and after 5 hours of peaceful supervised time they were given some unsupervised time so we could get some chores done...
She has a minor looking wound near one of her legs. I’ve cleaned it and put Neosporin on it. It seems to have stopped bleeding. Is there anything else I can do? I imagine the biggest concern is infection?
