I didn't get one until the 2nd last day of the season last year. Believe me, I paid my dues! I'm missing being out this year, and will certainly miss hunting the muzzleloader season with my buds.

I used to always come home empty handed on opening day. It was intentional. Never wanted the season to end on day one.

I've read some CJ Box, but the game Warden character doesn't ring any bells, must have been another series.
