11 week old chick still being mommied

Is it normal for a mama to take care of a chick when it’s 11 weeks old?
I have a mama that hatched one chick a little over 11 weeks ago and she is still mothering her. I love it, but it’s a little odd she’s still taking care of her.

I sometimes see that with older hens that have a hard time getting back into condition needed to lay eggs. Another complicating factor can involve a hen that comes back into lay but does not get broody. It is during the start of the broody sequence my hens wean the previous brood.
