4 month old Pekin laid an egg?!?

Her egg was about the size of a chicken egg, and not very hard, but not very soft either. I thought 6-10 months was when this should start happening, but Soleil is 4 months. Is this common? Thanks in advance

It's not very common but there will always be some ducks that are ahead of the curve. Since she is so young you will need to defiantly make sure she's getting enough nutrients so she does not have any laying issues.
