40*F !!! Did I ruin my hatch?

Chic Chick--No is ISN'T spring yet! DArn, darn, darn...

All I can see when I look out the window is SNOW.

Of course, the groundhog DID say we were going to have a late spring.

If you can't trust a groundhog, who can you trust?

I am getting little punchy.

Wow, I was so impressed to hear about the Silkie eggs.

It is snowing again.

They were shipped eggs right? If so that might not be such a bad hatch at any rate. It sucks though. I am still waiting on my largest hatch that went through the chills we will see on Thursday.

GracefulBantams,

Why is your incubator in your garage?

This may be one of the first things I noticed about incubating eggs, but they recommend 70* F and stable room temperature and humidity. That may be a prerequisite for larger incubators that foam incubators can ignore a little, but I wouldn't leave an operating incubator in my basement and it's only 50* - 60* F down there.

Regardless, I wouldn't give up until the very end and you've tried to get every one of those little guys into the big wide world where you can eventually eat them.

Good Luck.

EDIT: Never mind
