The worst of the cold weather has passed. The weather varies from snowy to rainy, then back again. The snow pack is melting. The dirt roads are horrible and are moving quickly towards virtually impassable. It’s mud season, and there’s one animal that’s happier than all of the others combined - the duck! I used to find this time of year somewhat depressing. After all, where’s the sun? Where are the beautiful spring flowers? They will be here in time. Meanwhile, according to ducks, “it’s the most wonderful time of the year”. And seeing ]them experiencing such joy has made me appreciate it too.
