Aloha from Maui! We currently rescued a orphaned injured foot 4 week old hen chick, from a close call Cat scamming on her! Brought chick inside, vet wrapped her lil curled, hobbling foot for 1 day, prayed shed make it thru the night- she did, gave her 2 drops Meloxicam in her food for 4 days, and now 14 days later, she's happy & thriving! "Oluolu" is Hawaiian for "Contentment" I've never seen a happier lil chick. She is super smart (we're potty training her!). The best part is, her Dad Rooster "Cookie-Roo" was also a injured chick rescue rehabilitation who is our now Outside resident Rooster. I love this website & how we all have a love for Chickens, Roosters and animals.
