A perfectly formed, hard shelled egg. No yolk, but it's a start.

She'll build up to bigger ones. Having the hard shell shouldn't surprise you though, she is clearly getting all the nutrients she needs.

Seriously, some do start off soft/no shell; sometimes, even when they are established layers, they may still produce the odd one that is soft/no shell. You could add some extra calcium to their feed if it becomes a problem though. I bake the empty shells, crumble them up and add that to their feed - same as with my chooks.
