I purchased 2 emu eggs off e-bay 2 months ago...paid good money and shipping is high due to their weight. It takes something like 52-56 days to hatch. I spent all that time turning these gynormous eggs, doing everything I was supposed to...day 56 came and went...waited actully a couple extra days(note: you can't candle them for fertility)...after day 60....we decided to crack 'em open...nothing...just nasty goopy yellow yolk...what a bummer. Hubby was more than happy!

Just out of curiosity, I looked at the ebay Emu eggs. There are currently a pair for sale that the bid is up to 88.00!!!!!! plus 16.00 for shipping!!! Are they crazy????????????????
