He's gorgeous Appenzellers are my favorites, they're so beautiful and smart and friendly. And great layers! One of my Appenzeller girls is named Honk haha. Must be a breed characteristic.

I do! I have 3 separate flocks - Spitzhaubens, Olandsk Dwarfs, and Shetland hens. And trying to stop myself from adding Silkie easter eggers.

My Spitz all came from Cackle Hatchery but I love the breed so much, I'll be adding some from Greenfire. I'm thrilled with the quality from Cackle though. My Olandsk mostly came from R FuzzyButt Poultry, and two hens came from Texas but I can't remember the farm name now. They are so beautiful and great little layers.

My Shetlands just hatched on the 25th! I bought the eggs from someone in Georgia who bought chicks from Greenfire. I had a great hatch rate and have 9 little fuzzy-headed Sheltand babies.

Yes, only silver here and they're lovely and correct. That's a shame about their golden ones.
