Are these two cockerels?

I am new to chickens. These two chicks are 5 weeks old. I ordered all pullets- I think these two might be cockerels. What do you think? Silver Laced Wyandotte and the Barred Rock. Thank you!

I'd say they are probably both pullets. Cockerels usually have darker combs. If I had any doubts it would be on the second one.

Thats what I think. We have 2 Barred Rocks. The other one has a much smaller comb and is dark while this one is a much lighter color and has this big comb.

The SLW definitely looks like a pullet to me, but yeah that BR is sus.

SLW's are tricky...I would pay more attention to the wattles than the comb. Here was my cockerel at 7 weeks. We were 99.9% sure cockerel, so we rehomed him. But I couldn't find a single confirmed pullet with wattles than big anywhere online, so yeah.

If yours doesn't develop big wattles like this in the next couple weeks, the next sign to watch for is long, pointy saddle feathers coming in around 8-10 weeks. That would be a sure sign of a cockerel. If neither of those show up in the next month or so, you're probably in the clear!

Oh, and SLW roosters develop a white patch on their shoulders. Not sure what age that happens though.

Lighter barred rocks are male so that's your confirmation.
