Hi. Reach out the Bird n Bee hatchery in rockdale. They carried them this spring. Infant remember what the cross was but it was a cream leg bar with something else. He said they were a bit hardier than the cream legbars. And obviously blue layers. Still waiting on ours to lay. Hope this helps!

I wish Ideal had regular Cream Legbars! Thatā€™s a cool mix though.
They do offer them despite currently being sold out.. I got 2 this past season (June) that were supposed to be Welbar like the rest of that group but are crested (crest didn't come until 4-5 weeks & egg color cannot be confirmed yet but other features match)..

The question was asked/stated.. and I do think the "Arctic" will be referring to the shade of blue eggs laid rather than the plumage of the birds.

Blue egg color reference chart from google images..

To me.. calling it "bright" blue in the instance of this cross (arctic blue egger) is POSSIBLY a misnomer.. and it should probably be called "light" or pale blue.. however I'm no expert..

Thank you for sharing you new fun hatchery breed with us!

It's getting harder every day to make out the differences! :pop

Where are you seeing the Artic Blue's on Ideal Poultry?
I just checked Ideal Poultry website and it still doesn't show them.
They show Easter Eggers, Olive Eggers, Blue Olive Eggers and Legbars.
The local feed store posted their 2024 chick list and had them listed.

I just checked Idealā€™s website and didnā€™t see them either.
