Hi All,

I just received my order this morning from Mount Healthy Hatchery- ordered 5 and received 6! Can you all help me with my breeds? I ordered:

1 barred rock pullet
1 lavender orpinton pullet
(no problem telling those two from the six)
1 bielefelder (I think I received two)
1 speckled sussex
1 blue laced red wyandotte

1. bielfelders correct?

#1. Speckled Sussex

#2. Bielefelder

#3. Is the Blue Laced Red Wyandotte

I am loving this flock, they are so great and hearty... here is a pic of my last speckled sussex as a chick, bottom right who wound up being a roo- they have a lighter breast then the bielefelder

Could you explain why you think this? I'm not sure how to tell them apart as chicks.

Of course it's easy once they grow up enough to show barring (Bielefelders) or mottling (Speckled Sussex.)
The Speckled Sussex has the white bellies.

Bielefelders have off white/Brownish, bellies.
