Best Food Safe Wormer

My hens have been lazy layers this year (considering the large number if hens I have, their ages, and the few eggs compared), and we are trying to figure out why. My dad suggested that I should worm them, which I think is a good idea.

But, I need a 100% food safe, aka- won't have to toss eggs, still 100% safe to eat- wormer. Any come to mind? Thanks!

Would this work? It says the animals meat shouldn't be eaten at certain times, but says nothing about eggs.

I had a bottle of Wazine17, that says a withdrawal from meat, & not to use in laying hens. It's liquid piperazine.

I've gotten mixed replies when I asked about it, specifically about egg eating.

So, I'm still alot confused.

I use Valbazen, broad spectrum dewormer, doesn't affect the eggs.

Try to figure out first what type of worms your dealing with. Depending on type other products would work better.

Piperazine only treats large roundworms in poultry. Valbazen gets them all except tapeworms. We eat eggs after using Valbazen, still here typing.

Valbazen (albendazole) is also used in humans all over the world to treat worms, if that matters. It is more available online, and a but pricey, but you will have enough forever. Tractor Supply will order it here to be picked up at the store, and the price is okay:
