Best purebred SOP bird?

Agreed. Find a breeder at a show. They aren't going to sell you their best birds, but the genetics are there. And you'll get a better start than most other birds you'll find. I always say "buy the best birds you can afford, it'll pay off in the future".

Don't be surprised at the prices. It takes years of dedication to create this quality. I see Morton is having an large fowl LS end of season sale. A great chance to pick up adult breeders!!
