I've got a hen who is being pecked on a pit so I picked up a can of Blu-Kote to put on her sore spot. I noticed on the can it says not to use on Horses to be eaten. I thought what about chickens? Sure enough the write up's online say not to eat chickens using blu-kote http://www.mypetchicken.com/Health_and_Sanitation-Blu_Kote_Wound_Dressing__5_oz-P349.aspx but nothing talks about eating the eggs. If the chicken is unsafe to eat during treatment wouldn't that come right through the egg as well?
