Just thought I'd post a quick FYI. I'm in Central Ohio and lost power after the big storm recently. The problem I had was that I had 12, 4 day old baby chicks to try and keep at 95 degrees without a brooder light during the night. The daytime wasn't a problem since its been in the 90's for weeks. My dad was able to turn up the hot water tank temperature and we then put the hottest water we could in glass jars. We placed all of the chicks in a smaller box, moved the box to the warmest place in the house and then put the hot water jars in the box. I was able to keep the box at 90 degrees for the night! By the next night the power was back. I was sure I'd lose all my chicks but they made it!! Anyway, hope this helps someone out!
