it will work for a few weeks,,, like 3 , if its a huge 1, if not, in a couple,, and be ready to clean them out every day,, they start smellin by end of week 1....

i have one that i used for my chicks made of a rabbit hutch exactly like the one on page 7 tundrachick put up ill be using it this spring im getting 5 phoenix chicks 5 sumatra chicks 5 jumbo cornish cross chicks 5 domonique chicks

Here are a few pics of my first brooder. It's 2x2x8 with a divider in the middle. One side stays warmer than the other so the babies can have a WIDE range of warmth and coolness.

I made this last spring. It was a shipping crate they were ready to throw away at work. It only took a very little work to modify it.
I can also put a partition in the middle if I need to.
