Buying Leg Bands

I am trying to find leg bands for my Silkies. I need to get two different colors, in sets of 25. I want the plastic bandettes that are numbered. I have been looking around, and they are a lot more expensive than I thought. Does anyone know a cheaper way to do this? I need my birds to be identified for the fair, is this the way to go?

hmmm, i didnt even know there were such things as leg bands! i thought they were only for like wild,injured birds or something

I was looking for something to ID them with and someone suggested zip ties. I know what you mean about the expense though. I was looking for the leg bands like I saw at the fair this week. Well, it's not so much that they were EXPENSIVE, but I don't need 1,000 bands for my 3 chicks! lol (At least I don't think I do!)

Zip ties would be the next best thing.
