Poultry Pecking Pumpkins Photo Contes
Ends on November 5th, 2022
What rhymes with Halloween? Pumpkins! Or maybe not - but poultry go crazy for pumpkin! Show us pictures of your poultry (chickens, waterfowl, turkeys, quail, peafowl, guinea fowl, pheasants, etc.) eating pumpkin, and you could WIN!!
If entries warrant, we will have two categories, landfowl & waterfowl, with prizes for both categories.
Prizes
BYC Store Gift Certificates are available to winners in the United States. If the winners are outside the United States, they will be awarded the PFM instead.
Place Prize First $50 BYC Store Gift Certificate or a 1-year PFM ($60 value) for yourself or a friend. Second $30 BYC Store Gift Certificate or a 6-month PFM ($35 value) for yourself or a friend. Third $15 BYC Store Gift Certificate or a 3-month PFM ($20 value) for yourself or a friend. Fourth 1-month PFM
It's easy to enter, just reply to this thread with pictures of your poultry eating or thinking about eating a pumpkin.
To increase your chances of winning, please read the rules before entering.

Rules:
Photography tips from fellow BYC members:
- An entry is one picture of your domestic poultry eating or pecking, or thinking about eating or pecking a pumpkin.
- All domestic poultry allowed (chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, peafowl, guinea fowl, quail, pheasants, emu, etc.).
- Other animals may be in the photo, but the star(s) of the photo must be your domestic poultry.
- No costumes. Poultry wearing costumes may enter the Critter Halloween Costume Contest.
- Four entries per member. One photo per post, please.
- Images that have been resized might be disqualified if they are too small to judge.
- No screenshots, watermarks, date stamps, text, etc., on the photo. No collages.
- The photo needs to have been taken by you.
- You cannot use a photo that won an award in another BYC-sponsored contest.
- High-quality images are recommended. Basic editing, such as cropping and other subtle changes, are allowed.
- ALL photos MUST be uploaded to BYC and not hosted on other image sites, personal websites, etc.
- Prizes are limited to one per person per contest.
- All BYC rules apply: Terms of Service (Rules)
- Entries will be accepted through November 5th, 2023, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

This is Twister an Azur Blue that happened to fly into my truck one day at the feed mill - along with two others I was worried they would be wild as the wind being ‘factory’ raised (POL pullets when I got them), but they are friendly little demons!

@KayisforKale, you should enter this contest!Someone on here gave their chickens a pumpkin the other day. I do not remember who it was, but thank you for giving me the idea! I bought a big white one this morning and gouged little holes in it with my knife to pique the chickens' interest.
