Anybody notice the gender pay gap? Leaping lords are nearly twice as expensive as dancing ladies. Just goes to show, nothing new under the sun

Re the 12 Days of Christmas price list, my mom lived in a retirement village on a lake that had a pair of mute swans. The pair hatched some cygnets one year. The Village eventually removed the cygnets and announced that they had traded them for ‘assorted ducks.’ My mom was incredulous, and said, “You traded swans for ducks??? Haven't you ever seen that Christmas price index ???”
The next year, the mama had died, leaving the male all alone....I got this pic
