We have our babies !!!

A head count of 51 birds !!! OMG. From what we can see there are no geese or ducks. We think we have 3 turkeys. They are a lot taller and longer necks. To be honest I am not sure what I am looking at. I will be spending a lot of time on the computer trying to ID them all.

I will try to load up a picture of the maybe turkeys. They are drinking their warm water and pecking their starter food. They are so cute. 48 chicks and 3 turkeys? Lots to figure out.

Serenity, we got ours today too, and no ducks in it. Three turkeys as well (I am thinking blue slates, btw). Did anyone get this and NOT have all four compartments containing chicks? Our box was damaged when it arrived, and one compartment had no chicks. Only one chick DOA. Really was hoping for ducks. May order some ducks yet. I think I counted 46 chicks. I requested no geese since our neighbor has a free ranging flock of 2-3 dozen geese, and no bantams, since we live in the wide open spaces of Wyoming and they would just be daring hawks to eat them.

Aww I am sorry about your DOA. May it rest in peace in the feathery heavens. Glad yours arrived today too ! Could you post a picture of your turkeys? I am wondering if they the same as mine. I am going to try and get a picture of them. I will divide them asap. Because I notice the turkeys going after the chicks feet. Little meanies lol.

If in the photo is section 3 you have the turkeys they look like blues to me.

I'm hopping I get at least turkeys or goose in mine. I know is a surprise box and anything can go there but I can still hope.

Turkeys have nubs on their heads. Easy to spot them.
