Cackle hatchery's Hatchery Surprise- Anybody got this before?

Have you contacted Cackle about your losses? They 'guarantee' 40 live fowl...I'm wonder how they handle refunding for anything less than 40.

Its best to let them know within the first 24 hours and then they usually tell you to get back with them in a couple of days. At least from personal experience.

I did call I have to give them a live count on Saturday and see what happens then.

Personally if it was me, I'd give them a call.
If you tell them about the ones who didn't make it, also tell them about the ones that look like they aren't going to make it. Some hatcheries will have you call them back in a day or so and update them on the chicks that were looking not so good. And then they will add any of those casualties into the refund also.

That is good to know. I still may next year get me a surprise but so far this year is not looking good at all. But at least though I will be getting what I need this year from Cackle, and hatching out some other breeds.

I had losses for a week solid from ours. I believe it was the 3rd day I had 3.
