I have 5 pullets (2 SLWs, 1 GLW, 1 Red Star and 1 Australorpe) about 20-25 weeks old now. I am in the city and can only have 6 chickens total, but would LOVE to add a Silkie as my final chick.
Of course I would integrate slowly and under constant supervision, however I'd love your feedback on if it is advisable to add just one.

Thanks!

Yes, you can do this. There will be some scuffles as they all redefine their places in the pecking order, like there would be when introducing any number of birds, but there is no reason you shouldn't be able to do that.

Thank you so much! I figured there would be a little bit of adjustment, but overall safety was the biggest concern.
Now I just wish I had the ability to tell gender, I'd be all set. No roos allowed in the city
